another day of scrapbooking, another day of being behind

I pretty much spent the whole day scrapbooking; and while I made a little progress, I didn't make near as much as I wanted to. But, oh, well. I had fun doing it.
I got the 11 copies done for my page swap - man, those took me about 11 hours, much longer than I had planned. And just now I finished the first layout from the Veranda Workshop on the Go. Yay!
I actually used some of my wedding photos and uploaded them to Picnik to make them sepia toned. It's the first time I've used that Web site ... and I really love it. My friend Brittany told me about that Web site when I saw a scrapbook she had completed for her boyfriend - it was really cool the way she was able to alter the photos and even write messages on them. You make all your edits, and then you save them to your computer and print them out yourself (I've been amazed at how well my new printer is printing my pictures!!) or you can upload them to a photo printing Web site or take them to your favorite store.
The hardest part to scrapbooking for me is picking out the photos I want to scrapbook. When I'm scrapbooking "traditionally," I pick out my pictures, then match it to my paper and then pick out a layout ... that usually takes longer than actually scrapbooking the layout. With the workshops that I do for club, I do it the other way. I make the layout by following the directions and then I try to match some photos. Sometimes I don't do a very good job of matching the photos to the layout, but I'm very happy with the way my photos go with the Veranda paper. But you judge for yourself; I'm including pictures. (Sorry they aren't the greatest ... click on them to see the whole image!)
I am also including the photos that I used on the layout that I edited on Picnik. I love them as Brandon and I aren't great dancers ... and his parents don't really like to dance either, but my parents are great dancers. I chose those pictures for that reason - a little inside joke for me. If you look at the last picture (with Brandon's parents), you'll see in the background that I'm trying to teach Brandon to dance ... it wasn't very successful. We were one of those couples who should have taken dance lessons!
Now, I only have about five things left to do on my scrapbooking list ... but I'm a good procrastinator, so I don't have any doubts about it getting done.
  Anyway, have a great week!
  Happy Sunday (evening)!

New products are fast approaching!

Hey there blog readers! I'm so sorry I've been so lax about posting to my blog lately - it's been a crazy month! There has been a trip to Chicago for Pampered Chef national conference - it was amazing! Also in there was the Close to My Heart national conference, which I didn't attend, but I've still got the excitement brewing from all the new product and changes! And a booth for the local Lone Tree Days celebration over the Fourth of July, along with a cousin's Pampered Chef bridal shower ... and more! So, anyway, sorry I didn't post. I had lots of good intentions; and I even got some projects done, but not sure what happened to all my time.    I plan on finding some of those pictures and uploading them soon. Also, I plan on heading downstairs to scrapbook soon - so maybe I'll have some of those pictures to share.    I'm not supposed to share any of the new products before the catalog goes live to customers, but if you contact me, I might give y...
