New CTMH Idea Book live - woo-hoo!!

hey there blog readers!

i know i've said it before, but time has gotten away from me and this blog was definitely put on the back burner. so, i apologize if there were any of you who read it faithfully and was disappointed when i stopped posting. after the next few weeks, i'm hoping things will slow back down so i will make it a point to post on here more regularly again.

as of Sept. 1, the CTMH new idea book went live. i'm quite excited as there are some very cool new products and some changes happening in CTMH that i am sure is going to take the company in a crazy, new direction. i love the new paper packs. two of them are some of the most beautiful paper packs (IMO) that i have seen from the company, and i've definitely loved some of the previous paper packs.

i am having a new catty bash next week to show off all the new products! if you're interested and did not already get an invitation from me, it's because i don't have your contact info or don't know that you're interested, so please e-mail me or post a comment on here and i will get you invited right away.

the last two days i have been busy in my scrapbooking room working on the splendor WOTG and the hooligans WOTG. hooligans is one of the new paper packs and it's all about Halloween. but don't be deterred by that; i went through all my photos and only came up with about five Halloween photos i wanted to use, so i put the paper pack to use for other photos. i actually just made the second layout with my senior pictures. sounds odd, huh? but it's purple, well, technically, gypsy, so that's right up my style!

once i get pictures taken of the layouts i've completed, i'll add them to this post! for now, here's what the paper packs look like. click on the photo for a link to my web site to see all the new products!

don't be afraid to branch out with what pictures you choose to put with each paper pack; just because the paper packs seems to be about Halloween doesn't mean you can't use it for other pics ... food for thought.

i also found a wonderful new project! usually i shy away from the level 1 paper packs as they are pre-printed and i usually think i want to use my own creativeness to make my layouts. but i'm changing my mind. my upline sent me a document with ideas she got from a fellow consultant of quick ways to use the other four papers you get in the level 1 paper pack to make an additional two pages. that's six pages for $10 in very little time. it's awesome! i completed the hooligans one the other night and think i've got my scrapbook club ladies convinced to try it at our next club. if you want to join our club, please let me know. it will be in october and we still have plenty of time to get your products. there is no committment - you're welcome to come try it out! i used pictures from a day at the park with my cousins/siblings and a pie in the eye fund raiser from college on these papers.

i just started on the second WOTG last night for Oliva. It's quite a beautiful paper pack too. hopefully i can finish it tonight and get some pictures posted. i had some fun this morning searching for what pictures to use on it. i couldn't choose just any picture because the paper is too beautiful! i was all set to start assembling the first layout with the pictures i was printing this morning and then i realized i was out of ink. so i guess i'm going to have to wait until i can get my ink to finish the first layout. i'm also doing the level 1 paper pack for this paper so i am excited to find out what kinds of different photos i can put on this fall-themed paper.

i have another post to work on now for a new project i'm starting, so i suppose i should work on that instead.

happy friday! happy labor day!

My attempts at photo editing sites ...

Hey there blog readers! I know, I know, I was supposed to be posting more regularly ... I'm sorry. But my garage sale is done, so that means I should have more time to post, right? The reason I am posting today is for that Nebraska Learns class I talked about at the beginning of the month. Nothing like procrastinating - today is the last day I can complete it! ;) I am actually really enjoying this first "assignment." Our assignment was to play with photo editing sites. For my scrapbooking friends out there, I'm thinking this could do wonders for your already wonderful pages! As I was working on my second picture, I had an idea. There are many pictures - like that particular one - that I'd like to include in my scrapbook, but can't make myself create a whole page for a picture of a flower ... but can you imagine putting this photo of the flower on it? I can. How much cooler would that make the page? I could talk about where I was and why I took the pictu

Constantly looking for one place to store all your important dates?

How many of you have all kinds of important dates running through your head, like birthdays and anniversaries, that you know you are bound to forget? I know I do ... and have. I can remember the random birthday of a college friend's brother or a high school class mate that I haven't really talked to since high school, but I can't remember my sister-in-law's or many of my best friends' special days, and even after only three years of marriage, I'll admit I've even once spaced off my own anniversary and scheduled a Pampered Chef show (it isn't always the husbands who do this!) I've tried storing these dates in different places: I've made an altered rolodex for that purpose, but I never filled it out; I've also used - and even made my own - card book. The one I got for high school graduation, I filled in all the dates, but at this point in time, I can't tell you where the book is. The one I made myself, I don't know if I even filled i
